An early 19th century carved wood and gilded gesso overmantle having a continuous vine and fruit decorated border surmounted by cartouche with scrolled acanthus foliage. Some missing decoration exposing wire which gives an edge to an otherwise very grand Regency mirror with beautiful original mercury glass.
